Every Sunday afternoon my grandfather would line us grandkids up to take our picture with his Polaroid camera. It had a big flash attached to the side. After removing the exposed film from the camera I anxiously waited with my grandfather for a short period of time before we could pull the paper off the film to show the developed picture. Pulling the paper off was my job! I would carefully pull back the paper and wait with excitement to view the picture. And with that, I was hooked. I got my first camera when I was about 9 or 10. I took pictures of everything and nothing just to take pictures. My brother gave me my first 35mm, a Nikon EM, he won it in a card game when he was in the Navy stationed in Italy. To this day, my Nikon EM is my go to camera for film.
